6,584 fans were treated to a fine game at the ballpark as only one run
separated the combatants at game's end.  The Dominican Republicans won by the
slimmest of margins, 4 to 3.

The game was deadlocked at 2 after nine full innings.  Dominican won the hard
fought contest in the 11th inning.  Erubiel Durazo led off and started the
rally when he drew a walk.  Blanco took his lead and swiped second.  Vernon
Wells got his chance to keep things going, but he went down on strikes.  One
out later, Nomar Garciaparra came to the plate and doubled which scored a
run.  Aramis Ramirez stepped into the box and was walked intentionally.
Jason Bay kept the inning going and lashed a single giving Dominican the win
and sending the home town fans into a frenzy.  Dominican managed 15 in their
victory.  

Jorge Julio(1-2) allowed 1 run in 2 innings, and picked up the victory.
Armando Benitez(1-4) was the losing pitcher in relief.  With this win,
Dominican has a 24-35 record.  They have been 5-5 lately.  With the loss
Tombstone now has a record of 33-26.
